Potboiler Theatre

Audio drama

Potboiler Theatre directors Kat Hughes and Kat Boon collected stories from young people living in Stoke on Trent about their experiences of being outdoors. In response, Kat Boon wrote two audio plays (Kayleigh’s Story, Sam’s Story) and collaborated with young activist Ian Ikuesan / Stoke Memes to create a verbatim account of the first Black Lives Matter protest in Hanley Park. Kat Hughes directed all three pieces in Hanley Park, working with trained actor Katie Cannon, emerging actor Sam Deaville, young activist Ian Ikuesan, composer Matt Thomason and sound engineer Adam P McCready to create the finished audio pieces.
